about
Spheres is the second soloalbum release by the swedish guitarist Mattias Windemo during 2018. The first one “reenactment” was a pure acoustic album while the other one “spheres” (released in October) have more of a electric character. The instruments on “spheres”are a acoustic guitar in combination with a Chapman stick, both instruments are played simultaneously and act as one instrument. It´s no overdubs on the record and all effects occur in real time with tools like slide and E-bow.

Guitarist Mattias Windemo was born in Sandviken in the north of Sweden in 1970.
At the age of fifteen he became a
student at the prestigious swedish music school of Ingesund in Arvika.
Two years later he became one of the youngest ever students at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.
Mattias is internationally a "one-of-a-kind" guitarplayer who continually develops and explors his own music
